Abraham Sibiya
Abraham Sibiya was born to the late Bishop Emeritus Richard Mamela Sibiya and late Rev. Flora Elizabeth Mahlombamahle Sibiya, on the 16th August 1959.
He was converted and committed his life to the Lord Jesus Christ at a tender age of 18 years old in 1977, by the testimony of Mrs.Grace Nthane.
Abraham Sibiya received his calling under the ministry of Bishop Dr. Evengel S Malamb in June of 1978 at the Gospel Pilots Church, where he was also baptized as a believer.
He was one of the founders of Conquerors through Christ, which was a youth movement and, which he led from June 1979 until 1984 as a chairman. The Conquerors Through Christ then became a nationwide powerful church it is, through the anointing and ministry of Rev. Jannie Ngwale, who is The Apostle General and father of The Conquerors Through Christ Ministries.
Abraham Sibiya was then led by God to plant a church and thus became the Founder of The Christ Centered Church Episcopal since the 24th April 1983. He now serves as the General Overall Overseer of The Christ Centered Church Episcopal.
He was ordained to be the President of The Christ Centered Church By Bishop Dr. E S Malamb in April 2000.
He obtained his Bachelor in Theology( BTh) from the Global University of Theology in 2018
Abraham Sibiya was appointed to the office of the Bishop by Bishop Gladstone ZS Botwana on the 4th December 2005, on his parents 48th wedding anniversary.
On the 18th August 2007 (two days after his 48th birthday), Abraham Sibiya was consecrated to the Holy Office of Bishop by Archbishop LeRoy Bailey Jr. under the auspices of the International Bishops Conference.
As a prolific writer of the Sunday Sun articles, Archbishop Abraham Sibiya has also written his debut book entitled: The Purpose of Prayer, which was launched on the 3rd December 2016. In April 2023, he launched his second book titled By Faith They Made It, By Faith We Will Make It. They are both valuable assets to the body of Christ
Archbishop Abraham Sibiya was conferred with an Honorary Doctorate in Theology Degree, By Brown Leadership and International Institute Seminary (Brown University), on the 25th March 2017.
He obtained his Bachelor in Theology( BTh) from the Global University of Theology in 2018
Archbishop Abraham Sibiya was brought under Apostolic Succession of the Evangelical Episcopal Communion by His Beatitude Archbishop Russell McClanahan on the 9th April 2022. He serves as the Provincial Archbishop of the Province of Saint Athanasius of Alexandria.
Archbishop Abraham Sibiya is married to his wife the Elect Lady Siphesihle Constance Sibiya who leads the ministry to women and children in the Province of Saint Athanasius of Alexandria, and together they are blessed with two sons: SithembiNkosi and Siphiwumusa; three daughters: Victoria, Amanda and Siphilisiwe.
